ISO 14001 :
Maghreb Steel is fully aware of the direct and indirect effects of its activities on the surrounding environment.For that reason, with an ethical and a citizenship concern, it has chosen to turn towards an environment managing and preserving approach. This approach aims at the setting-up of an environmental management system which complies with the standard ISO 14001.
In concrete terms, the company has implemented many techniques for the treatment of gaseous and liquid effluents. Among them, the wastewater sewage treatment plant which enables the treatment of the hydrochloric and chrome acids effluents, oily and loaded with metal effluents. This treatment is realized by the chemical breaking down of the oils for the oil-water separation, oxidation, water neutralization, flocculation, clarification and then sludge filtration.
